Methodology

In order to tailor my lessons to suit the needs of the student, I begin with a needs analysis. After this, I give you a short entrance test to gauge your level and then we establish some learning outcomes. Some of you are more interested in developing your conversational skills, pronunciation or writing skills: maybe you want to go to university or have a pending examination.

Many of you will have different learner styles, some may be more visual, auditory, kinaesthetic or verbal. I adapt my approach towards the style of the student.

Materials include: recorded conversations, featuring a variety of accents, flash cards, debates ,discussions, creative writing exercises, videos, songs and games.

I like to use various classroom tools including: books, pens, paper, tablets, phones and DVD players and possess an extensive library of teaching resources and homemade materials to cater for different levels.
